Continuum Tips and Tricks: How to use the old Project My Screen feature

In this episode of Continuum: Tips and Tricks, I show users how to use the Project My Screen feature that was originally available in Windows Phone 8.x. The Lumia 950 and 950 XL defaults to Continuum to present a desktop environment, which is great, but Continuum runs Windows 10 Universal Apps and not Windows Phone apps. This means that you cannot play games such as Asphalt 8 or any non universal Windows app. This video shows how to enable the Project My Screen function from Windows Phone and enjoy all of the apps on your phone via an external screen. 1. Great video bud , this works for my lumia 640 xl , i just wanted to play some non-continuum games om the big screen but couldnt because the only thing being projected was continuum desktop (i modded some files to get it on my lumia) thnkas for the vid man
  2. Thanks!
    Really helps me.
  3. i wish i could use the xbox one controller to play modern combat 4 or 5 since those games are available for pc
  4. 4:04 how have you managed 2 rows of apps in the app switcher?
  5. Great tip. Microsoft is doing a bit of a poor job of informing the public about these device, so I partially cannot blame the reviewers. Also, they need to stop hiding advanced/more settings in every settings page. Lol. I completely missed that option. My continuum devices (Samsung Home Theatre System and Xbox One) seems to either always crash or default to a lower screen resolution when I use Continuum over wi-fi when the old basic my screen worked flawless in WP8.1.
  6. But how to use usb cable and Project My Screen app on PC? I can't do that to record my phones screen.
  7. Cool
  8. I'd like to see you screen mirror an HD movie using the 950 with the Microsoft Wireless Display, I want to see if there's any sort of lag.
